Nearly 200 airmen to return home from deployment

LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, Ark. (KTHV) - Nearly 200 Team Little Rock Airmen will return home to their friends and family Monday.

According to a spokesperson with the United States Air Force, the airmen were deployed to support operations in southwest Asia and are an integral part of Air Force expeditionary operations around the world.

The spokesperson said that at any given time, approximately 600 Airmen are deployed from Little Rock Air Force Base.

Since the beginning of 2013, Team Little Rock aircrews have airlifted more than 40,000 pounds of cargo, 81,000 passengers and 2,000 patients.

3 Little Rock zip codes take in most of released Ark. prisoners

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - In speaking with Little Rock mayor Mark Stodola, he told THV 11 about a recent study that found three zip codes here in Little Rock take in the majority of Arkansas' released prisoners. THV 11 obtained a copy of that report on Wednesday.

"The report is right on," said Leta Anthony, director of the Lewis-Burnett Employment Finders. That organization helps former inmates find jobs, housing and services once they're out of prison.

Last month, she received the results of a study done by the Clinton School of Public Service which shows three area codes in Little Rock are receiving more released prisoners than the rest of Arkansas combined. Those zip codes are 72204, 72206 and 72209.
